2011
Arkansas Outlaw Racing LLC’s (AOR)
Points
Program
This points program is for AOR members
only, it is no way related or tied to
any tracks points system. The AOR makes
no decisions on what any track does or
does not do regarding their own points
system, this is something supplemental
we do for our members. Points will be
counted at pre-determined races. Before
points are counted at any track the
track owner/operator must OK the
presence of the AOR and agree to the
AOR’s stipulations to provide copies of
the run sheets from the tracks computer
system.
This
year some classes may run twice a month
and there are some classes that may run
on a weekend other than the 1st
weekend of the month. So here is what we
have decided to do. Points for each
class will only be counted once per
month. The first weekend of the month
race will be the main race, every class
that participates at that race will have
their points counted at that race only.
For classes that do not race on that 1st
weekend of the month their points will
be counted on the main weekend they race
and at that race only.
There will be a minimum of 5
Racer/Members required in a class in
order for that class to be eligible for
the points series. They do not all 5
have to be present just 5 signed up.
Each
Racer/Member will automatically be
entered in the AOR Points Program and
will begin earning points after they
join or renew their membership for 2011,
provided the class has met the minimum
member requirement. You must have
renewed or joined prior to the first
race you wish your points to be counted.
I make
no promises on what we will be able to
reward for this other than trophies, we
are continually working as usual to
provide the best we can.
Important
Information (Please Read)
·
POINTS GO WITH THE DRIVER.
Driver must be an AOR Racer/Member in
order to earn points.
·
Driver must be entered in
race and take the tree either during
qualifying or eliminations (Must Stage
under cars own power. If running
multiple classes must take the tree in
each of the classes you wish points to
be counted)
·
YOU MUST BE A CURRENT
MEMBER OF AOR. Points start accumulating
after you Join or re-new your membership
for 2011. IMPORTANT:
Memberships are good for a year, but
RACERS MUST JOIN OR RENEW EACH YEAR
PRIOR TO THE FIRST RACE, RACERS WILL NOT
EARN POINTS IF THEY HAVE NOT JOINED OR
RENEWED THEIR MEMBERSHIP. POINTS WILL
BEGIN ACCUMALATING FROM THE TIME YOU
JOIN OR RENEW FORWARD. POINTS WILL NOT
BE COUNTED FOR RACE DATES PRIOR TO
JOINING OR RENEWING. (For example
if you win the first race but do not
join until after the 1st race
you will not earn any points for that
first race, you must renew or join
before the first race you wish to start
accumulating points)
·
As hard as I try to be
accurate mistakes can happen, so it is
the responsibility of each Racer to make
sure His or Her points are correct using
the below points schedule.
·
As You know Prescott
Raceway is the Home of the AOR, so we
going to add a bonus of 10 points to
your total if you enter each of the
Scheduled Prescott/AOR Outlaw Races
Points

the end of the year
We are going to
implement the following in the case of a
tie and the tie breakers will be as
follows:
- Most Number of
Wins
- Most Number of
Runner Ups
- Most Number of
Point Races Entered
- Most Number of
Round Wins
If after this there
is still a tie, the Racers will be
co-holders and/or co-winners of that
position.
Rainouts and all
other instances that may halt or cancel
a race will be handled in the following
manner:
* During the race:
All points are based on what has
happened or what is guaranteed to
happen. If at a race it has been
declared a rain out then you have only
the points accumulated up until that
point. YOu must run a round to
accumulate points. If you have
made it to the finals and get rained out
before the round is run, you will have
earned points for all the previous round
wins, for making it to the final each
racer would have been guaranteed at
least the R/U bonus point (1 Point) and
will be credited with that bonus only.
If a rain out happens during a round in
which some cars made their passes before
the rain and some are still i the
staging lanes, the only fair way to
handle it is to wipe that round out and
no one will earn points for that round.
* Race Rainout:
All AOR Point races are scheduled at the
beginning of the year so that everyone
can plan their schedules accordingly.
If a race is rained out points for that
race are NOT made up. The track
owner may choose to have a makeup Outlaw
Race but points will not be counted.
This is because, it may be convenient
for some to make the makeup race and not
or others so for this to be fair to all
there will be no makeup race for points. |
